The postman brings charity appeals by the dozen at this time of the year; Red Cross (with free pen and cards !), Oxfam, Salvation Army, Smile Train, RSPCA ..... and there is something about them that makes me feel SO guilty.
I've stopped opening them now, but then even putting them straight into the paper recycling makes me feel guilty .... I do wonder just how successful all these appeals are, and how much of their (donated by people like me) money it costs to do these mailings ?
The mental tussle continues ...............
