Last minute panic ... I had to go to town to post something to son; then I went to buy a cheap, cheap mobile phone to take with me, so I can use that one with a Kenya sim card for local calls there. My usual phone will have its UK sim card so I can text family. Its charging .... must remember to pack it .... better do so NOW !!
I've been thinking about the altitude in Kenya. People just don't realise that when they are in Nairobi, they are about a mile high from sea level ! And in Kisumu, I'll be about three quarters of a mile high ! It will be wonderful to see the Rift Valley opening up as we leave Nairobi .... one of the seven wonders of the world in my opinion.
