Malaria and HIV

A friend who read what I wrote yesterday, asked me if a mosquito bites someone with HIV, and then bites another person, can HIV be carried in that way ?

The answer is 'No' ... because although many nasty diseases are passed by a mosquito bite, HIV isn't one of them.  Any HIV that the mosquito sucks up, is digested by the mosquito's metabolism.

If the virus changes one day ... it doesn't bear thinking about !
