Luo Laughter "I speak of Africa and golden joys"
A quick bit of patchwork
The vicar at the church I attend in Tintern is retiring in a month or so, and many of the congregation are contributing small panels to a wall hanging for her as a farewell gift. As many of the people there provided baby clothes, bra's (!) and money for me to take out to Africa, to Pandipieri, I thought my panel could show Africa and the 'Nyasaye Ber' motto (God is Good) from outside the community .... and of course, I had to use some of my African wax print patchwork pieces to make it !
And here is my panel; I've left the edges to be trimmed to size by the lady who is sewing them altogether.
It was a bit of a rush job; the panels have to be delivered tomorrow, and as I only got the backing material and instructions this morning ....
