I'm back from my summer holiday !!

... which I spent in sunny, yes sunny, Manchester !

It gave me the opportunity to talk to lots of friends and my daughter about the HATW charity, the project in Kisumu, and to ask for sponsorship ... and I've left people s.a.e's and gift aid forms and HATW leaflets.

Gift aid is a wonderful idea, and I hope the present government doesn't suddenly realise its one thing they could cut !   If a sponsor is a UK tax payer, and completes a simple gift aid form, then returns it to me with their (generous !) cheque,  the charity can claim back tax paid by that person ... and the value of the donation will increase by 28% !!  

Doing the sums, this means a donation of £100 turns into £128; £50 into £64, £10 into £12.80.    Some companies will add a donation if they run a charity donation scheme and one of their employee's also donates.    So, dear readers, please be generous !
