I saw on the news a few days ago that Kenyan children and workers are having a public holiday, in order to plant thousands of trees.
The small trees are being provided free of charge, and people are being encouraged to plant them in their shambas, in school grounds, and on any spare land, to help change the carbon damage we are doing to our planet.
The last but one time I went to the carpentry workshop project for HATW, we each planted a small tree on the boundary. When I returned a year later, the trees were growing strongly and taller than me !
